'Three Flowers' is a velvet devoré original artwork inspired by the flowers and leaves found in rural and urban borders. Dye is printed and painted onto a velvet fabric before the devoré process is used to take away the velvet pile in certain areas revealing the silk base fabric, creating a three dimensional effect shown in the detail image.
The artwork is stretched around a canvas base and framed with a white handmade frame, without glass, to show off the artwork to it's full effect.
This piece measures 33cm x 33cm, including the wooden frame, and is signed on the reverse and fitted with a string so it's ready to hang.
The images shown are all taken in the studio where visitors are more than welcome to call and view the artwork first hand to fully appreciate the detail in each piece.
